Zandvoort Edition

A special edition which features an engine that produces 840 horsepower. Fine tuned at Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands. This machine is nothing like an ordinary Jeep given its extraordinary performance on the asphalt. With a complete custom developed new suspension set up, race brakes and using our racing heritage we have developed the best handling Jeep Wrangler in its history.

Project

Delorean Drift

Bas Koeten Racing is a company that typically focuses on the race cars of various individuals, but now it has accomplished something entirely different: it has converted a DMC DeLorean into a drift car at the request of Prince Bernhard of Orange. The DMC was extensively modified (note the outwardly positioned front fenders) and outfitted with a roll cage.

Additionally, we see a substantial lever on the center tunnel, indicating the presence of a hydraulic handbrake, designed to throw the car sideways even before entering a corner.

Keeping the car sideways? That requires quite a bit of throttle – and to facilitate that, Bas Koeten has made some arrangements. The car was fitted with a supercharged V8 (likely a Chevrolet engine) in its nose, an engine capable of producing 650 hp and not entirely fitting under the hood. For this reason, a hole was cut there. Normally, a lackluster six-cylinder engine lies in the back of a DMC DeLorean, but that has been removed.
